Even better then "internet is included in your Aloha Passport" would be "WIFI is FREE throughout the hotel"!!!!
Even better then sitting at the computer desk in the room is sitting on my lanai, with the salty sea breeze coming in off the North Shore of O'ahu.
Even better then the last time I was here: the whole hotel has been redone. Those who may have seen the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" will know what the "new" hotel looks like. But this is a pretty recent renovation. I believe it was finished back in 2006 or thereabouts. Prior, the hotel was still great, don't get me wrong - but it is much better now! :) Before, the interior was all dark greens and darker flowered carpet and felt very closed-in. This is due mostly to the fact that the initial intent for this hotel was a Vegas-style gambling establishment. Now, it is very light and airy and much more indicative of what I've come to expect from Hilton hotels in the Islands.
All in all - even better then spending the last week at Hilton Waikoloa is being able to spend ANOTHER week here! :)

Our flight left the Big Island at about 10 this morning and after a half-hour flight, we arrived in Honolulu. We picked up our car, another Dodge Charger, and started the trek up to the North Shore. I say trek, because where on the last island the hotel and the airport were about 20 miles apart - here there's about an hour's drive from the Southern part of the island (where Honolulu is located) to the North Shore, where Turtle Bay is in the town of Kahuku. When we got here, Andrew's and my room wasn't ready yet (Baba's was) so we dumped everything and headed for lunch at the Hang Ten Bar and Grill. Afterwards, Baba wanted to rest for awhile (more on THAT later :) ) so Andrew and I decided to explore the beach a bit. Baba, the liar, actually also went exploring on the property... he must have been sick of us! Just kidding...
Tomorrow, I hope to visit Waimea Valley, and maybe Hale'iwa too. Tomorrow, we also plan on getting together with Lita, a friend of ours from way back. More on that later!
Aloha!
